Custom Home Build At Ridgeway Construction we have developed a tried and true process for new home construction. We have been streamlining the process for building a new home that creates a much less stressful environment for the home owner and maximizing the communication between the home owner and our project team.

We keep the process simple but each step is uniquely important because it keeps the project on track, on budget and most importantly keeps you involved and informed.

The Ridgeway Building Process:

1. Initial Meeting:

It all starts with your vision. Whether you’ve drawn your dream on a napkin or have gone as far as having plans drawn up, our team of home builders will meet with you to discuss your project in detail. No project is too big or too small. And don’t be afraid to dream. We love the opportunity to problem solve so don’t be shy, let us know your every wish and we’ll figure out how to create it.

2. Designed for Success:

The next step is the design. Ridgeway Construction will develop a full plan design and also coordinate any necessary engineering services. If you want us to work with an architect you already have in place we can do that too. Our goal is to help you develop a sound design that meets your budgetary needs with the least amount of hidden risks during construction of your new home.

3. Contracts...for your Protection:

Nobody likes them but we really work hard at making this stage of the process as simple as possible. If you will be using our design resources then we will enter into a design contract. Once the design is completed and accepted we then prepare a formal Lump Sum Proposal along with a detailed set of specifications and allowances. We then sign a Residential Construction Contract.

4. Time To Build:

Time to dig some dirt! At this stage you will be provided with a project timeline and will also be able to use our web based online project management tool to get updates whenever you wish. Your project manager will hold weekly meetings with you to share updates and any issues that may have surfaced that week. Together you collaborate on any issues that need addressing and answering any questions the construction team may have throughout the construction stage. We want you to be intimately involved in your homes construction but not so much that you feel you are running the project. Your project manager will work with you and communicate with you in any manner you choose.

5. Completion and Follow-up:

Construction is complete and it’s time for the final walk through. Even though you have been there from beginning of construction and overseeing our teams work we still want to make absolutely sure that you are fully satisfied with the final outcome. We walk through the home noting any outstanding issues that need remedying and take care of those issues in a timely manner. We are so concerned about your satisfaction that our Customer Service Director will visit you at the home a few weeks after just to give you another opportunity to let us know if there is anything that doesn’t meet with your satisfaction.
